What are the age limits for each age group?

The DVBA criteria for eligibility within each age group are:

  • Autumn Season (first half of the year) – A player must be under the age stated in the relative age group by the 30 June of the year of the competition.
  • Spring Season (second half of the year) – A player must be under the age stated in the relative age group by the 31 December of the year of the competition.

GIRLS COMPETITION

U8s, U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s & U19s

BOYS COMPETITION

U8s, U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s, U18s

Players must not have turned that age on or before the cut-off date for each season.

Example: You are registering for the Autumn season and your son’s birthday is the 1 June and he will be turning 10 years of age. He will be in U12’s because he turns 10 before the 30th June.

Does registration costs include uniform?

No. That’s because most of our players are re-registering and we manage the shirt numbers carefully to ensure that players can keep the same kit until they grow out of it. If you are registering your child for the first time, you will need a uniform. Buy the full uniform and it will cost $95. Need just a top or shorts and they will cost $55 and $45 respectively. Contact our uniform coordinator Jen Merluzzo for any uniform enquiries.

Fixtures and Ladders

A note about fixtures

For the first five weeks of the season, the fixtures are only normally released about a day in advance. If they come out earlier than that, keep an eye on them because they could change. Why? Because those first weeks are used to grade each team, to try and ensure they are in the right division.

What happens after those first five weeks?

Once the teams have been placed in what the DVBA believes to be the right grade, the fixtures for the rest of the season are published. You should still check them each week though, in case a game time or venue changes. For Under 8’s, it’s slightly different. They are graded every 5 weeks, so unfortunately that means you will never have more than 5 weeks of games listed.

What if we think we’re in the wrong division?

Placing teams in the right grade is a very difficult task, and sometimes the DVBA gets it wrong. If you believe your team is in the wrong grade, your team manager must contact the Boys or Girls Coordinator as soon as possible.

How do I pay?

You pay through PlayHQ at the time of registration. It is not possible to register without making full payment. If your circumstances mean that you are unable to pay the full amount at the time of registration, please contact the club before registering and we can discuss a payment plan or come up with the right solution for you and the club.

Can I get involved?

Yes, you can!  Our club is made up of a volunteer committee and we are always looking to welcome new members.  Our coaches and team managers are all volunteers and we are happy to support anyone to get involved. You will also be very much involved by getting your children to training and games every week!
